Fly-In/Fly-Out Program
Our Fly-In/Fly-Out program allows employees to work at remote mining sites for designated periods while returning home during their time off.
- Scheduled Rotations: Typical rotations include 14 days on-site followed by 14 days off, depending on role and site requirements.
- Flights: We provide chartered flights between the mine site and designated pick-up points, with shuttles available from the airport to the site.
- Accommodations: Employees stay in modern, fully equipped accommodations with comfortable rooms, recreational facilities, and on-site medical support.
Meals: Nutritious meals are provided through our high-quality catering services to ensure employees are well-supported during their stay.

At Tata Steel Minerals Canada (TSMC), we are committed to building strong, lasting partnerships with suppliers who meet our rigorous standards of quality, sustainability, and integrity. Our procurement process is designed to ensure transparency, collaboration, and alignment with our core values, enabling us to work with the best-in-class suppliers.
Our Procurement Qualification Process
1.Initial Screening
We begin with a thorough review of the supplier's registration details, including their company history, certifications, and alignment with TSMC’s values and principles.
2.Compliance and Risk Assessment
Suppliers are assessed for compliance with legal, environmental, and safety regulations. This includes adherence to anti-corruption policies, ethical labor practices, and industry-specific standards.
3.Technical and Quality Assessment
A detailed evaluation of the supplier's products, services, and processes is conducted. We examine product quality, production capacity, and compliance with industry benchmarks to ensure excellence.
4.Sustainability and Indigenous Partnership Review
As part of our commitment to sustainability and Indigenous engagement, we evaluate suppliers' environmental practices and contributions to Indigenous partnerships. Suppliers demonstrating leadership in these areas are given priority.
5.Trial and Performance Evaluation
Qualified suppliers may be invited to participate in a pilot project or provide sample deliveries. This step assesses real-world performance, quality, and reliability under operational conditions.
6.Approval and Onboarding
Suppliers who successfully complete the qualification process are added to our approved vendor list and integrated into our supply chain as trusted partners.
